Walmart and the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) are united in a mission to increase access to HIV testing and resources, and are committed to working towards a future free from AIDS. To honor World AIDS Day, Walmart and EJAF are working together, along with the Atlanta Harm Reduction Coalition and AIDS Healthcare Foundation, to offer free HIV testing, education materials, and community resources on Dec. 1 during four concurrent parking lot testing events at Walmart locations in Atlanta.
The events will focus on expanding access to testing in local communities, a vital first step at effective prevention and treatment for people living with HIV. As part of Walmart’s focus on advancing health equity, the company has renewed its commitment to focus on eradicating HIV/AIDS through education, access to testing and partnerships to raise awareness of available resources.
