HOSEA HELPS Kicks Off 2021 with Annual MLK Celebration

January 8, 2021 – Atlanta, Georgia – Hosea Helps is preparing to provide thousands with free produce, food boxes, and warm bundles for their 20th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

In a time of social unrest and historic firsts, the event will serve as a way to celebrate all of what the Civil Rights Movement has for the world and as a call for a peaceful transition of power in Washington.

MLK Celebration: Monday, January 18th, 2021

Georgia World Congress Center

(Outside-Drive Thru and Walk Up)

10 am to 1 pm

WHAT: Hosea Helps 2021 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be held as a drive-thru and walk-up event. Free food, produce, PPE supplies, and warm bundles and blankets will be available to all.

WHEN: Monday, January 18th, 2021 from 10 am to 1 pm. Press Conference will be held at 9:30 am.

WHERE: Georgia World Congress Center (285 Andrew Young International Boulevard NW, Atlanta, Georgia), Outside

Hosea Helps has been hosting MLK dinners since the early 2000s. They were created to enhance the Atlanta community and provide food to hungry children. Founder of Hosea Helps, Rev. Hosea Williams worked closely with Martin Luther King Jr. with during the Civil Rights Movement accomplishing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Hosea Helps has been providing families in Atlanta with food, rent/utility assistance, job stability, and more for 50 years.
