This month, we proudly celebrate the achievements, resilience, and innovation of Black entrepreneurs who are making an impact across industries. At RICE, our commitment to Building Black Business isn’t limited to just one month – it’s a 365-day mission. Every day, we work tirelessly to provide the resources, support, and opportunities that Black businesses need to thrive and grow. Whether it’s through our transformative programs, collaborative spaces, or strategic partnerships, we’re dedicated to empowering Black entrepreneurs to reach new heights.
As we kick off National Black Business Month, we’re so excited to celebrate and honor the incredible contributions of Black entrepreneurs who drive innovation, create jobs, and build thriving communities. Throughout this month, we’ll be shining a spotlight on our dynamic Stakeholders and the vibrant Black-owned businesses that are transforming industries and paving the way for future generations. Join us as we amplify their stories, highlight their successes, and continue our mission to empower and support the growth of Black businesses nationwide. Together, let’s celebrate the spirit of Black entrepreneurship and continue to champion their success all year long!
During National Black Business Month, various events and initiatives will take place at RICE to celebrate and support Black-owned businesses. This is our opportunity to showcase the work we do to Build Black Business. Throughout August, you can expect to see:
- Our Businesses Showcased: RICE will provide a platform for our Stakeholders and Black entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services throughout the center with our RICE Market. On August 30th, we will also host Black Friday from 3 pm to 9 pm so be sure to register below and invite your friends and family out to enjoy a day of live entertainment, food trucks, and the opportunity to #ShopBlack
- Social Media Campaigns: We’re utilizing our platforms to highlight Black-owned businesses throughout the month! Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn and search for our hashtags #RICEReady and #CelebratingtheRICEWay to stay updated on what RICE and our Stakeholders are up to all month long!
- Financial Support: Several initiatives during National Black Business Month will focus on providing grants, loans, or mentorship to Black entrepreneurs, such as the Black Ambition Pitch Competition happening at RICE this month.
