City Connect Partnership Launch National Gun Violence Campaign Against Domestic Abuse in Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia – September 1, 2026 – City Connect Partnership, a metro-Atlanta not-for-profit organization since 1999, previously known as My Brothers Keeper Outreach International. The organization was founded by Norris Knox who serves as its CEO and President and has worked in the Atlanta community with various non-profits in leadership roles, and is on a mission to curb senseless gun violence in our public and private schools, colleges, universities and on city streets and suburban communities throughout the country.

City Connect Partnership has developed a gun violence initiative rightfully named “Put Your Guns Down Brothers” that will provide citizens, businesses and communities with life-saving skills and proven solutions as Neighborhood Safety Training, Gun Violence Prevention Workshops, Victim and Family Intervention and Support Services, Legal and Medical Advocacy, and Community Awareness Support are just a small number of services available to youth and adults by the organization.

“City Connect Partnership is dedicated to fostering holistic community development across the United States. Recognizing that healthy communities require safety, economic stability, and emotional wellbeing, the organization operates at the critical intersection of poverty alleviation, domestic violence support, and gun violence prevention. City Connect Partnership bridges systematic gaps by serving diverse populations across urban, suburban and rural landscapes, ensuring that no person or community is left behind; we want to be good stewards,” says Knox.

“We have a responsibility to look for our family, friends and neighbors, understanding that Gun Violence is an epidemic which is like a virus affecting those who may be fragile and feel that they have been ignored, mistreated or those dealing with anger issues or mental illness. Which can escalate in many cases into Domestic Violence that eventually results in Gun Violence.”
