- Barriers such as high cost, stigma, lack of accessibility, and poor customer satisfaction have traditionally kept people from buying hearing aids.
- The U.S. hearing aid market grew by only 0.9% in 2022, but a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.9% is expected until 2030. Retail sales of over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids are predicted to drive most of that growth.
- Hearing aids can greatly improve your hearing, psychological and cognitive health, and quality of life if worn consistently.
Hearing loss is a common condition in older adults, affecting 68% of Americans in their 70s and 90% in their 80s and older. It not only limits a person’s ability to communicate, but also increases the risk of significant health conditions, like dementia, depression, and anxiety.” National Council on Aging
