Sending the National Guard to places where they are not needed, requested or desired – This seems to me to be a vicious hunger for power and dictatorship unfolding before our eyes. This kind of satanic abuse of governmental resources and presidential overreach of authority will go down in history as a vicious attack on democracy.
The above danger will have, I believe, dangerous consequences for decades to come. The tragedy is, some Americans and elected officials, seem to be enjoying this vicious period in our national history. This will not last but the brutality will have decades of preventable suffering and pain.
When people are in need of housing and education, the President gleefully sends National Guard Troops to Los Angeles. When thousands need medical care and job training, the President sends National Guard units to D.C.
It appears to me that millions of Americans believe that the NRA is the way, but pretend to believe that “Jesus is the Way.” They sing: “Jesus is the Way.” But they vote the dictates or wishes of the NRA. They send their prayers and wishes to the bereaved and their votes and loyalty to the NRA. This is my fervent belief. Millions in America on a daily basis gleefully sing: “Jesus is the Way,” but they consistently vote the way and wishes of the NRA.
The President of the U.S.A. is taking away funds and personnel where they are critically needed. He is sending troops where they are not needed and have not been requested. This is not the Way of Lincoln nor Eisenhower. It is the Way of Trump and Putin. This administration is high on hate and falsehood, extremely low on truth and democracy. This is my firm belief.
It is my firm belief that the above will not last. But many will suffer and die while it lasts. I say again and again, this is the era of the reign of terror and error. We must be disciples and apostles of love, truth, justice and democracy.
Step by step the U.S. Supreme Court has been undermining the Civil Rights victories won from 1954 to 1968. The 1964 and 1965 Civil Rights and Voting Rights legislation were major legislative and human rights achievements. The 1954 Supreme Court Brown v. Board of Education was a landmark decision of the 20th century.
We now have a powerful religio-political coalition, national and global that does not believe in the God of Joseph and Moses. They detest the God of Amos, Hosea, Isaiah and Micah. They want Jesus without Luke 4 and Matthew 25…They want Paul without I Corinthians 13. This religio-political form is close to the Church in the 18th and 19th Century that practiced colonialism and slavery. They worshipped the gods of slavery, money, Jim Crow and White Supremacy.
In my opinion, the two leading, self-appointed idol gods of the above evil and injustice are Trump and Putin. They have made themselves the co-candidates for the idol gods of the 21st Century. They thrive on Red-Carpet appearances with salutes, drums and deity-type honor and obedience. This is anti-democracy and anti-Christ. It pains the heart of God and crushes human dignity, love and justice.
Trump is 79 and Putin is 72. Thirty years from now they will both be gone. They will leave behind a legacy of blood, brokenness, brutality, preventable pain, deaths and indescribable horrors. Future generations will wonder and ask, how and why did human beings empower and even worship such idolatry.
Let us remember when we, as human beings think only of ourselves, we become murderers – yes, mass murderers! This is my firm belief.
