Let Us Stand with President Biden
I stand with President Biden, today, yesterday, tomorrow, November 5 and beyond.
I predict that the historians of the future will declare the New York Times shamefully wrong. They are painfully wrong calling for President Biden to withdraw from the Presidential race five months before the election.
This is a great news organization, but, in my opinion, they are terribly wrong. Remember, this is the newspaper that was critical of Dr. King in 1967-1968. The New York Times thought Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was wrong on Viet Nam. Dr. King declared in 1967-1968, “Come home America, the bombs you drop on Viet Nam explode at home.”
President Biden does not serve at the pleasure and dictate of the New York Times as powerful and significant as this news organization is, past, present and in the future. It is a great news organization but in my opinion, terribly wrong. This I say to all others asking President Biden to give up the race.
Are you asking former President Donald Trump to quit the race? He is convicted on 34 counts! Do you plan to ask him to withdraw? President Biden was not animated or dynamic in the debate. Donald Trump spent 90 minutes spewing vicious lies unremittingly repeated. Should he withdraw? Who was the truth teller in the debate? Who was the dynamic liar? The pathological liar…The convicted felon…The instigator of the vicious attack on our nation’s Capital.
Shall democracy be determined by 90 minutes between a truth teller and a dangerous liar? One seeks to be a dictator on his first day in office, if elected again.
Now is the time to stand for truth and to stand with a disciple of truth, goodwill and great accomplishments. President Biden is not on trial. Trump is on trial factually and legally, in New York, Georgia and Florida. Should he withdraw from running for President of our nation, the leader of the Free World?
Who would dare try to pull Hank Aaron from the Hall of Fame because he had some strike outs (over 1300!) on his way to the Hall of Fame?
President Biden did not have a grand-slam homerun night. Far from it. However, he did speak the truth. Former President Trump had a loud night and never spoke a word of truth. He had 90 minutes of vicious lies “unremittingly repeated.”
Hitler said: “By means of shrewd lies unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell and hell is heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.” This was and remains the way of Adolph Hitler. It is also, I firmly believe, the way of Donald Trump. But no one is asking him to quit the Presidential race!
I say to President Biden: Run, Mr. President, Run! America and the Free World and the would-be Free World have need of your integrity and leadership.
