Atlanta native Malik Mixon takes the Silver in 110 hurdles at the U20 World Championships Atlanta (September, 2022) – Atlanta native Malik Mixon ends his summer with a huge win as the Silver Medalist in the 110m hurdles at the U20 World Championships recently held in Cali, Columbia. On Labor Day, September 5, volunteers from the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union and Microsoft will be hosting a “Get Connected” event at the Atlanta-North Georgia Labor Council’s annual Labor Day festival. The groups are coordinating with non-profit EveryoneOn and the Atlanta Housing Authority to pre-qualify residents for the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program. Internet Service Providers that offer no-cost high speed broadband plans to Affordable Connectivity Program enrollees will be available on site to sign residents up for service.
