The Metropolitan Atlanta Community Band (MACB) will present this year’s annual Christmas concert on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 4:00 pm, at the Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road in South Fulton, Georgia.

MACB is having its annual Christmas concert at the Southwest Arts Center this year, for the first time. Previous Christmas concerts were held at Greenbriar Mall.

In order to monitor the number of guests, the Southwest Arts Center (SWAC) uses a ticketing system, so please register for free tickets at https://www.ticketsource.us/swac/annual-macb-christmas-concert/e-gdqjvm.

The 60-piece concert band, under the batons of Associate Directors Allen Ward and Vanable Moody, will present various holiday favorites from spirituals to sing-alongs to a soulful Christmas medley.

The performance is free, and the public is invited.

All concerts are free and open to the public.

The Metropolitan Atlanta Community Band, in its 27th year of operation, is a not-for-profit organization based in Southwest Atlanta. MACB’s principal associate director is Curtis Byrdsong, and the band’s founding director is Dr. Alfred Wyatt, Sr., who passed away in September 2023. The band welcomes new members who play a concert band instrument and can read music.

MACB advocates for music education in schools and awards college scholarships to deserving high school seniors who show promise in music. Donations for the scholarship program and band operating expenses are welcomed.
