On Monday, October 12, 2020, many voters showed up at the polls to get their early votes in. The 12th marked the first official day for early voting and from all indications large numbers of voters showed up at the polls. Many voters were at the Southwest Fulton County / Atlanta Public Library on Campbellton Road where they waited patiently to enter the building and cast their votes. Voting ads are encouraging people to get to the polls early in order to avoid long lines on November 3rd, which is the nation’s official voting date. Candace Davenport was asked why she voted early. She answered, “Because I want to make sure that it counts.” Pictured: Ms. Candace Davenport proudly, wearing her “I Have Voted” sticker showing that she had just voted.
