Braves Win National League Conference, Advance to World Series 2021

On Saturday, October 23, 2021, the Atlanta Braves clinched the National League Conference of Major League Baseball (MLB), beating the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning Game 6, 4-to-2.

The Atlanta Braves advance to play the Houston Astros in the World Series, beginning with Game 1 on October 26, 2021, in Houston, Texas. This is the first time that the Atlanta Braves advances to the World Series in 22 years.

The Atlanta Braves went to the World Series in 1991 and lost the pennant to the Minnesota Twins; then, went in 1992 and lost to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Braves won the World Series when they played and won against the Cleveland Indians in 1995. In 1999, we went to the World Series and lost against the New York Yankees.

The Atlanta Braves went to all of their World Series competitions with Bobby Cox as their manager. It is noted that their 1999 race for the MLB pennant was played against the New York Yankees and their manager Joe Torre, who was a manager for the Atlanta Braves from 1982 to 1984. Bobby Cox managed the Braves for two different stints: 1) from 1978 to 1981, and 2) from 1990 to 2010. Now manager Brad Snitker will lead the Braves 2021 effort against the Houston Astros.
